Hey BHW,

I'm working on a second affiliate website, currently no indexed, and don't want to launch it until I have around 30 articles live.

I was just wondering, in people's experience, what is the Google "sandbox" time?

How long before I can start expecting to see traffic. Trying to gauge whether I should start project #3, whilst waiting for project #2 to gain traction, then coming back to it, or just powering on with consistent new content on #2.

Let me know your thoughts / experiences :)

Nobody really knows, it could be 3 months, some say 6 months, maybe a bit more...

Just keep creating content and links for your web to speed up the process a bit, do it slowly and of the best quality possible.

Yea I do constantly hear 3-6.

I'm just wondering whether it's worth doing, or like I said, over that time I work on the 3rd site whilst it's in that period, then go back to it.

Getting a few links from well indexed pages will help you to speed up the process. Anyway, while you waiting do not hesitate and do run whole SEO procedures you know including online or offline works. So by the time you will be out of sandbox you will have some good SEO homework done.

As said above, it can take 3 months or 6 months, no exact time frame. I suggest to focus on project 2, add content and backlinks, improve its performance and user interactions, and move to next.

There is no perfect answer to your question but it takes around 6 months now.
