website ready, now what to do?

still learning here and got my first website ready (blog).

i wanted to know what tips can you give me to boost search engine rankings, and drive traffic to the website?

im hoping to earn some money in the long run using ads.

What is your website about? Is it a affiliate website or a information blog(news) etc..
For ranking you need to write high quality articles, if you are using wordpress I would suggest you to use the plugin yoast.
If you think you wrote nice content and did everything for onpage SEO I would start slowly with backlinks

Great content will get you far. People are always interested in this. Write good posts, add useful info, and include graphics and inforgraphics.
