Can i rank my website without blogs/article and totally being dependent on backlinks?

i own a hardware related website i started submitting links on high da site. I checked my competitors site they have many articles and blog linking to their site and i can't write content so i wanted to rank my website just by submitting backlinks.

No, You cant just depend on backlinks beacause it take almost a month to get a backlink , but posting blogs and article you can easily get backlinks and can be listed easily

Nope, You need a bit of unique content to rank your website. if your website is a script based site then it's a different thing and you can rank with backlinks.
