Well... if you rank #1 for many keywords... why would you want your rankings to change?
I'm not I'm stuck in the second serp even-though I updated the content & edited the internal links

how old is your website and since when did you make the changes?
This take at least a week usually (up to a month) to get any changes and sometimes these won't be sufficient as you gonna need some good link profile which depends on the competition
My Domain age is (1 years 6 months 2 days )

Hmm... what about sending one or two backlinks to the articles in mind? If that's not possible - create articles within the same topic as "support articles" and internal link to the main articles.
Example - Main article: Best airfyer
Supporting articles: How to clean an airfryer, how to pick the best airfryer, most popular airfryer recipes etc.
As long as these support articles match the overall topic of your site they'll boost the main article as hell. As a rule of thumb; 2 supporting articles = 1 external backlink
