So for some reason I can't find my website in google AT ALL for my main keyword phrase (checked the first 30 pages manually+ the keyword is low competition). However, it is on the 2nd page for my secondary main keyword, while being on page 1 on Bing for both my main and secondary keyword phrase. I checked the anchor cloud on ahref and the main keyword is there (14%). I literally came upon a review OF my website while going through the pages on main keyword search, but couldn't find my website itself. Any idea as to why this is happening?

I recently used a highly reputable backlink gig here, is it possible that he created the backlinks with the wrong keyword? (But then why would it show in anchor cloud)

Probably that reputable backlink gig what you have used is a being a reason why your site is not showing in Google SERP. Let me tell you little more about it. Backlink gig method is building thousands of links a day and it's what Google hates the most. It's a direct red flag that links were purchased and built in unnatural way. Basically algorithm of Bing and Google are completely different, so they are determining purchased links in a different ways. That's why you are being showed on Bing but in the same time can't find yourself on Google. If you want to be showed on top of Google you have to build links gradually, not more than 5-10 links a week. I'm working in SEO company and faced too many cases like that. You can visit our site LinksManagement.com and read more articles about Google penalties and how it works.

So you're suggesting that his domain wasn't penalized, and not even the page itself, just the primary keyword he was wanting to rank for on that page?

This would have been an okay post if you didn't add your link in there. With 125 posts surely you should know that self promotion like this takes the piss.

In response to OP, that seems like the start of a penalty or google dance at least. I hope not though
