hello, i'm having a problem with the website speed ( i'm using wordpress ), i used google pagespeed Insights and he shows me that i should compress some pictures to gain speed .
so i opened the ftp client and went to every picture mentionned in the repport . exp this picture: wp-content/uploads/2015/05/urban321.jpg?resize=100%2C75

i compressed every image and reuploaded them the the same folder, after that i did another test to see how much speed i gained but without succes i get the same result and the same pics !
i installed several plugins like smush it and others but without a big help ! most of them are working just whene you upload your images and not after that .

so if someone knows how can i solve my problem i'll be glad .
thank you ^^

thank you for the answers, i think that i'm not clear enaugh xD . So what i did is compressed the pics with this tool Caesium and even photoshop and the pics are good compressed ( i double checked them ). what i mean with the same result is the report gives me the same links and sizes as before i reupload the folders .
wp-content/uploads/2015/05/urban321.jpg?resize=100%2C75
wp-content/uploads/2015/05/urban321.jpg?resize=180%2C135
in the ftp i went to this folder
wp-content/uploads/2015/05 and picked the image urban321.jpg and compressed it and reuploaded, then re-test = same link again
