Website now opens slow (wordpress)

• First try to use the default theme and then check the loading time.
• If you have too many plugins activated then too the site can load slowly
• Even one plugin can cause the speed to drop
• If you have huge-sized graphics on the home page, then too...
• If the homepage has too many items that can reduce the speed to a crawl
• The database could have been loaded with unwanted things, or some part may have become corrupt
• May be something is wrong in the php files including the fuctions.php
• Use a good cache plugin or optimize plugin
• Use a revision control plugin
• may be the host needs to finetune the server...

Who's fault it would be? The site's or server/host.
