Website Not Index

Google considers your site insufficiently "trustworthy" or "relevant" to rank it for the keywords you want to rank for. Because you blocked the googlebot crawler in your robots.txt file ?
 
It means the crawler is finding it difficult to access the website. This can be due to various reasons - robots file, htaccess etc.
 
After the last updates google started to index less pages than they did before. Try to build some external and internal links from indexed pages (check it with site: in google search).
In addition, make sure that the unindexed pages are submitted in sitemap.
Of course check the basics like that there is no "noindex" tag and the canonical tag is proper.

Have you by chance solved the problem? If so, how did you do it?

Because I am having the same problem with a blog that has been open for 4 years, with good content and with the site that has never dropped in traffic.

Lately some posts google indexes them and with others don't even after months.

Go to GSC, go to Settings, and check the crawl report. Head over to Discovered and see if the new URLS are there.

It seems the Discovered - currently not indexed issue is due to poor crawl budget.

If your posts are in the Crawled - currently not indexed category, that just means the content is crap and they are likely never to get indexed.
 
I would recommend you to add some new content on the website that would be helpful for the website and Google will think this website is getting updated with fresh content. Also, you can re-index the pages manually because these indexing and de-indexing issues are really common with everyone. Moreover, you can post your web page link on social media as well like on any blog post page as well.
