Hi all

I have this website that I developed a month ago. I got a links package from reputable supplier here on bhw. The domain was clean, brand new. The only thing I did wrong was for a week, the content I put on it was copied but soon changed it to proper unique and meaningful content (not spun!).

However the website is not getting indexed! I have submitted sitemap to Google...basically tried a lot of things but site:sitename doesnt bring up a thing. I have had websites having not a single backlink with completely copied content getting indexed within a week! However this website is strange. Even the links supplier is baffled at this. I have already done a lot of checks like robot.txt etc.

Has anyone had a similar experience and what was it that helped them?

*btw I know that backlinks are not the issue since he has done my other two websites and they are fine and he is also very cooperative. I hope this website is not a lost cause :(

It's called the sandbox....it happens to all new sites, and it's especially pesky if you got caught duplicating content. Give it 3 to 6 months(yeah SEO takes time these days).

Thanks, however this is not true for all the websites. Since my other sites are around the age, and both are in top 20 for a low-mid comp keyword!

if the content was copied your site wont survive for long on the Google index

Why cant you simply get a new domain, put unique content and get going. It takes minutes to have a domain domain indexed.

Have you tried doing a Manual URL Submission to Google? A lot of times I'll do this for new sites and it usually gets indexed within minutes.

Submit to instantlinkindexer and you`re done. You can ask a free submission (for certain amount of links) from the seller/service provider here.

Cheers

Did you f*ck up on them with duplicate content too?

maybe your last chance will be to add it in GWT account and see if google will report you any problem there

Shits happen, may be you just forgot to check in settings "allow site to be indexed by search engines" ))

Its just a hunch but some wp themes just don't index, recently i switched the theme got indexed in seconds. It could be coincidence I'm not sure.

Already done that several days ago. Just checked, no messages!

It worked ;) I believe that changing the theme made G reconsider the website. Anyways, all sorted now, thanks!!
