What is the story with website names?

if my domain is different but I name my actual site the same as someone else is that against copyright.

for example my domain : http://www.blackhatpizza.com

name : blackhatworld.

How does it work and can anyone come after me?

Black hat is a term that was used well before the forum would have been around so you shouldn't have a problem unless you have a domain like applecomputers as that will probably cross copyright laws.

The name is usually a trademark issue. If your name "creates confusion" for consumers looking for their business, you can get hammered. Of course, you would probably get a nasty letter from a lawyer well before that.

If I'm unsure, I'd simply avoid all trademark trouble at all. Make sure you have a solid on- and off-page SEO and the keyword in the domain name will not matter THAT much. And you'd still make more money compared to the situation when a bunch of lawyers take down your site.
