Website monetization - advice needed

Hello everyone,

I have a website with growing traffic and i need to know the best way to monetize it, it's for downloading games/softs (so there is a link in every post).
Page views for the last 8 days since i added Adsense are: 7, 135, 352, 274, 311, 785, 844, 753 (today), but I'm earning pennies

I don't want to add pop-up/under as i hate such practices and i won't blame my visitors to use Adblock if they find any on my site.
I'm thinking to shorten links instead of giving direct ones, can you guys suggest me a link-shortener platform that is reliable and don't care too much about copyrighted material? I'm thinking about adf•ly or shorte•st (ouo•io isn't an option).

Anyway, is link shortening is the best practice to earn money for my site?

PS: 1 pop ad won't affect your quality that much, you can set it to once per 24h.

Swap the Adsense ads for CPA ads, CPAlead.com is free to join and a good one to start with. Many publishers will provide banner ads you can use. Just copy the banners in your ad area and link to your affiliate link. There are better ways to earn money, but this one should earn you more than Adsense if you can choose targeted offers that your audience would be interested in.

I understand, but since the link-shorteners will consider up to 10 clicks from the same visitor, it would be more profitable to use one of them (plus the pop will jump on their site not mine )

Thanks for the advice, but in Adsense i can pick the ads too, right now it gives me dating/games ads, the same i would choose if I'm going to use CPA.

AdSense might be a little tricky and ban your account with pennies or when you start making something real, but still you may use it along with other ad networks since adsense allows only 3 banners, so you may have as much as you like with other networks.

A popup is still good (great actually) and if you don't like it in separate window or new tab (I don't like them either) I'd suggest using Exit Popup so user see's it when he leaving site (popup doesn't stop from closing window).

If site is gaining popularity by itself I would suggest investing into advertising.

To be honest, with that visitor number, it's not really worth it to worry about monetization. I highly suggest you focus yourself on increasing visitor count until at least in thousands (per day).

Right now i need to know how to monetize the download links first, every visitor will most likely going to click on one.

I'm not worried about the traffic , why i want to monetize the in-content now? It's because it would take long later to do it for all the articles (for now i have +200 links to shorten or banners to add before the download button ), the side ads are 1 click to set and i didn't even added a notification for users to disable Adblock (maybe in 2 months).

I do surprise that adsense allow your site. I guess you use your previous adsense account (not using this site to register for adsense, I mean).

Sorry for not answering your questions. If I knew download sites can use adsense, I would have pursued it long time ago.

Huh, G00gle hating download sites is a myth if you don't do something really stupid you're a good boy for them, i mean if they advertising for 4dult stuff/Bl4ck m4gic /G4mbling, then download sites are something very acceptable (plus i don't upload to my site). I guarantee you that G00 gle know about my content and it's even trying its best to add matching ads (games, download music..)
P.S: Check few sites in this niche with BuiltWith and you will see that most of them are using Google ads.

BTW it was a pain in the ass to submit my last post, spam filters on this site need to chill down.
