    Hi all,

Random question but hoping someone may be able to assist.
I've recently switched my hosting provider (to one recommended on here of course), however...

If I load the site by just typing 'MYDOMAIN.co.uk' there is about a 10-15 second delay before it actually loads the site.
If I load the site from https://MYDOMAIN.co.uk it's almost instant.

Does anyone know how to rectify this at all please?

Is it your dns cache? Did you check if both versions are pointed to you new host? Do you have any redirection set for non https to https?

Lot of variables right there. Try doing a ping to both urls and see if they are pointed to the same IP.

You could also test both URL (http and https) on a site like GTMetrix and/or Pingdom or any PageSpeed "tester". This way you could see if what you see only applies to you or also to all your visitors.
