Hi, today I woke up to something really weird... A website I work was somehow erased from google, I suspect it happened because of competitors.

I have tryed everything... typing in site:www.xxxxxxxx.com etc but the site is nowhere. Right now I added that website to google's "Search Console" and its giving me no errors though the number of indexed websites is 0.

Do you think google banned the website? ive never bought seo packages for it, but its still ranked very well because of its age..

thanks

Looks like you got penalized.

Anything shady at all about the site that you think may be the reason?

If you are 100% sure you havent used any blackhat methods that could have gotten you penalized you can try to submit a ticket in Google Webmaster tools.

I dont think its shady, its an affiliate website.

Has the site had downtime recently? It's an aged domain or an aged site? That is, the domain may be aged but you may have launched a new site on it recently?

Connect your website to webmaster tools and see if there's any manual actions.
Can you tell us the history of the website? Any backlinking? Any content you copied from another website ?

Actually yes, the website is a copy from another website, but the domain is strong and it was ranking just great. Maybe that's the reason? Is there a way to fix it?

Well duplicate content can be a reason for the deindexation. To fix it, delete all the copied content, replace it with original content and submit a ticket to google.

Yes that's likely the reason. May have been a DMCA takedown. No there's no way to fix it.

To submit a ticket I think you must have a manual action, but there are not any manual actions on my website.

There must be another way. BUT. If your site was only populated with copied content, you'll spend less time rebuilding a new site honestly. Just give up this one and let this be a lesson.

I understand, but it just sucks because the website was ranked high and it used to bring me a lot of traffic. The landing had a few pages, some vids images etc, so it's not just a simple one page landing page.

Thanks

Did you try the site operator without the www? So like site:slkfjlsdkfj.com

Do that first.

Second, DMCA is a page-by-page process, so rarely will this get an entire site removed.

Duplicate content does not normally get an entire site removed, although if the site is truly just a lame clone of another, then it's possible. However, this would show as manual action in Search Console.

You said you just added it? It sometimes takes a couple of days for manual action to show. If it does not show, then I suggest posting in Google Webmaster Central so the people there can flag staff to look at it.

Sounds like you were sand boxed, probably by your competitors. I believe Google can let you know this....

Yes, I tryed everything.

Some good news for me... The website is back on SERPs and it was somehow reindexed on google!!! It's back to its old positions :)

Btw I changed its design to something different, maybe that was causing that issue..

Anyway, thanks a lot guys!! Peace and love :)
