Website is not ranking up like before

Hey, I have a query kindly help me.

I'm currently handling a security systems company website. I bought that website in first page for many keywords with the help of Black Hat World forum. Unfortunately that website hacked and the website was completely because of poor hosting. We planned of changing hosting and transferred our site to that hosting. After transfer I saw drastic changes in ranking and Google update during that time. I thought it is mostly because of these 2 reasons so I carry on my work in pushing the site ranking. I working nearly month and half I literally couldn't see any changes in site ranking (Few of my blogs in snippet that's a relief) so I start to feel that am I doing anything wrong or need to alter any work.

I'm doing On page and Off page SEO but couldn't see any results. Website is in WordPress Platform. Kindly help me regarding this.

hard to say without knowing the site ... if the google crawler passed when the site was hacked it damaged you ... it could be a penalty due to a google update or spam ... some more details would help
