Maybe your competitors are pushing harder with quality content and links. Check also social signals, it may be a less important factors compared to content optimization and link building, but it is still important (especially in some niche) as it gives some brand awareness to your site and it's a sign for Google that real people likes your content by sharing it.

I wonder what's the age of your site? How long has it been running. Also as suggested above, spy on your competitor just to make sure you do better on what they do.

SEO takes time nowadays. Google won't place a three month old site on first page, regardless of what you do. And don't believe people who tell you otherwise.
Keep adding new articles to the site, and drop a guest post/authority link to inner pages as well.
Be patient, it will come!

Analyze the website and based on the results start from the scratch if nothing has been done so far.

Theres a high probability that you don't have enough backlinks pointing to your website, whilst competitors do.

Even if you have analyzed competition, it doesn't mean your site is on par with theirs in either on- or off-page SEO. They could be using (well hidden) PBN's or their site could be blazing fast in comparison to yours.

Either way, you lack something they don't seem to be lacking. Authority.

My advice:

Get some solid PBN links and wait for the results. There are some very good sellers on this forum. Personally I use @tiiberius T-Ranks and am a big fan of those links due to their amazing results.

Actually, rank depends on SEO (on page and off page SEO). At first, check you're on SEO and do your competitor analysis. Secondly, do off page SEO for the first-page ranking.
