How much would it cost to host a forum + live audio streaming website?

Depends on your choice of hosting company I guess

As Gainz said, it depends on the company you choose. I recommend godaddy, namecheap and ionos, they are my go-to option when it comes to getting a server for my projects.

U can rent shared host for as little as $2 and change. Self managed Vps cost little more. I think mine starts at 9$ for smallest tier

If you're hosting the audio you'll likely need bigger hdd depending on just how big your audio library is.

Then you need to worry about bandwidth later once you get a ton of traffic downloading your audio all day.

Research some popular host providers. Start with small baby package. Get it all going. If it's slow, you can always upgrade to the next tier.

Sounds like a fun project. Good luck.

Too little info to give an estimate.
Without any specifics. It can be as low as $5 to as high as $500,000 depending on the number of users you anticipate

And thats a pretty weird combination of features. What sorta forum needs live-audio streaming?

Anyways, calculating your expenses for hosting almost anything comes down to answering following questions:

1. How much bandwidth you consume?
2. How much storage will your application need?
3. How much hardware resources(ram, cpu cores) do you need?

Now to answer 1&2 themselves, you need to know an estimate of the number of users that will visit your site every day.

More the users, more the data they make. Which means more the storage, which means more data to serve. Which means more bandwidth.

Calculating 3 is a bit trickier. You need to know the tech stack and how much hardware it needs to handle your load. Xenoforo on a php, Apache stack can likely handle 2000 concurrent users at any given time on a 4 core 8 gig machine. Not sure about your live audio streaming software.

Price depends.
On location.
On management level.
On support.
On kind of hosting (offshore, dmca ignored, etc...)
