    Hi all,
I am looking at starting to flip some websites I have created in the relationship and diet niches. What I am looking for is a complete website flipping course. I have seen several on the warrior forum but if someone could recommend a couple here I would really appreciate it, many thanks ,
    Enjoy your weekend folks

Website flipping isn't a Rocket Science. Try to learn by yourself. List your website on flippa and your own marketing skills

I would steer clear of flippa...

This costs less but you will not get ripped off...

Why do you keep recommending Pricell.com? Have you ever used them?

I'm all for new competitors to Flippa, but listing your site on Pricell is a complete waste of time/money. Flippa may have its downfalls, but it's by far the largest marketplace for selling sites.

No issues with people making genuine recommendations based off their own experiences, but it sounds like a lot of people around here just like to make suggestions based on zero real world data and things they have read around other forums which is not useful to anyone. Members with high rep should be especially careful making suggestions without experience as newer members are more likely to listen... and that doesn't help at all.

Is there something fishy with Pricell or is it just not popular enough for a seller?

The 7-day Alexa ranking is 160,000 and there are only 2 sales in the past 30 days. Seems like a waste of time to list your auction on a site with no visitors or buyers when Flippa has thousands of successful sales totaling millions of dollars every month.

I've seen a few people "recommend" it. The site is dead and nothing is selling there. It would be a complete waste of time listing there even if it was free.

meathead1234, it wasn't a waste when we advertised, just look at our sales and then tell them it's not a good idea to list when it's free. We had many successful sales but as in this moment, it would be a completely waste of time listing your site at us as we closed the service for an unknown time due to financial problems as we wasted way more than we ever made on the website.

I rather let Flippa be as I understood how much work it is to maintain a website like theirs. With a low user base we still had tons of tickets per day and technical issues most of the time which ended up in more charges.

However, your negativity to a flippa competitor is off balance. You don't understand why people recommended us? We actually did care about them and we did offer free listings and we did tons of advertising which lead to sales but if that's not enough, well keep doing what you are doing. You been negative ever since we started and you blamed us for promoting ourselfs with fake accounts which we never did. You should be ashame and allow new websites into the business.

Hope you'r happy now when we close our biz.

Thanks for everyone who promoted us and tried us out, it's been a fun time and a great experience for the past months!

I'm all for a new competitor, I've always said that. What I don't like is people recommending sites that aren't even in business anymore... that was my whole point about making recommendations without having a clue what they are talking about.

You may well have had sales when you were in business, but you've admitted yourself you're not running anymore, hence anyone that recommends you obviously has not been keeping up.

I said: "The site is dead and nothing is selling there" - this is 100% accurate, so I'm not sure why you think I have a problem with competitors. The issue with competitors to Flippa is (and probably always will be) that they are never in business for long because they try and enter the market and offer everything for free - which is not sustainable. If a seller is going to invest their time (and/or money) into selling sites then they are better off doing it on the biggest marketplace where they can build a reputation.

I hope you can understand why I am sceptical when people are recommending a marketplace that isn't even active now. Doesn't make any sense.

It would be similar to me recommending Myspace as a great place to do social media marketing... it may have been in the past, but not anymore.

I am surprised at this, there was no CLOSED notification on your site when I posted above referring your site as another selling option for websites...

I have news for you, there is no embarrassment when things do not work out!

    Your site is NOW CLOSED

    PRICELL.COM

ERROR 404 - PAGE NOT FOUND

But think you have now brought EMBARRASSMENT on PRICELL for not explaining the position, I would have given you some slack but as you are active member of BHW why did you not post to tell people that you had CLOSED and/or SUSPENDED the site.

Your actions are all negative as now going forward folks will have reservations because if you act the same as above no one will know whether you are Open or Closed.

    Amen Pricell RIP...

Flippa's numbers have been complete bullshit for the last 2 years at least. When cornered to justify their inflated statistics they pass.

Flippa current successful closing rate is just under 15% (last 24 hrs 70 successful out of 470 closed). Currently more than 50% of their sold sites are under $100 with 25% less than $60.

15% doesn't include the number that don't pay which accounts for about 5% currently. So out of 70 sold figure a conservative 4 buyers won't pay.

It only takes a speculating seller a few minutes to look at the new listings and see how many websites are being relisted. Some have been relisted 10 times looking for a buyer.

I'll just touch on the haphazard Flippa support that ignores flagrant scams even when put right under their nose. The majority of website listing traffic and revenue have nothing to substantiate the seller's claims. Flippa doesn't care. I tossed a few at them this week and they changed the title is all. They allowed the claimed traffic and claimed revenue boxes to be populated even though they knew the numbers were false. I showed them websites weren't years old as claimed but days old with Google cache still showing the website domain for sale and they ignored the proof.

Today to make money of Flippa, if you're a scammer, you just post high traffic and high revenue numbers. No proof needed. Nothing at all to back up your claims. You have an 80% chance of a successful listing without interference from Flippa.

Meathead you mentioned claims of fake accounts on Pricell, funny I saw a report from a Flippa ex-employee that claimed Flippa had thousands of fake buyer and seller accounts when they first started to give the website the appearance of activity.

Now it's done with seller shill accounts so not sure what point you were making but Flippa has thousands of fake accounts. Today they're mostly owned by active sellers but they still give the illusion that Flippa is active with lots of active bidders. When only 15% are closing successfully with more than the majority under $100 it doesn't take an analyst to determine the website is about dead as well.

The reason Pricell never was notified is due to we waited for a response from our investor to continue our business. It was declined just a moment before i replied in this thread which is also why I didn't take action to mention it earlier or reply here.

Due to our investor withdrawing hes offer we can't continue. Sure the site can be up and running but that will only cause confusion to people therefor we redirected it to a shared server on HG where a notification will be made.

I would gladly sell the website cheap for someone who is interested to take over as i really want to see the site grow.

Thanks for all the support in Pricell, had a nice run but well, bad stuff happens... :)
