Check GWT, whether it penalized or not. And wait for 2 days and check GWT again. After that if you trouble, quit that site and try some other. Check for bad quality links.

@Shuster013 stop trying to fix the deindexed/penalized site. You can setup a new site quickly and transfer the old content to the new site. Just be careful while building backlinks for this new site though.
You can build a new site in a day or two. let it age for a 2-3 months and just do social sharing all this while. Slowly build small backlinks before branching out to P.BNs

You got caught in the wave on unnatural links penalty my friend. If it was a CPA website, your best bet is to move on with anew website. Don't bother sending a reconsideration request.
There is no "EASY" way to recover the website back. Its way easier to create a new one and re rank it.

Check whether your site has penalized or not. You have to wait 1 - 2 weeks for that message. If you didn't get any message from GWT. Create new website and try it with that website. And also rank it again after 1 - 2 months.

Just use this easy method site:domainame.com if Google shows your site it's not indexed and also check with GWT for correcting the errors on your site.These methods will help you out.

Google seems to be labeling these types of sites with a new manual penalty that doesn't de-index them just sends them to the graveyard. IE: Page 5 to Page 7
The a picture of the old penalty that these types of sites used to get: Sites that get this penalty get de-indexed.
And the new penalty (yet very much the same) that doesn't get de-indexed just slapped across the face:
I find it interesting how it's a totally new penalty.
Any thoughts on how to keep this from happening?

Get Ahrefs free 30-day trial at their website. They are the best when it comes to crawling backlinks and you should have a pretty good idea on what's going on.
