For now Im hoping to get figures from people as to how much they would charge. Obvious the quality is more important than the money but I still have to keep a cap on how much I'm spending. :-)

If you decide to go with me, I would charge around $400 for professional service. I believe it's a good deal for the quality and rep I offer.

There is a music store plugin for Magento Commerce you may want to look at. I can provide Linux VPS hosting for $120/yr.
 
I'm sure you are more than capable of doing it yourself. Heres one I put together for a DJ friend when I was only learning wordpress. It took me a weekend and has never been updated and is amateur hour compared to what I do now http://bit.ly/PCUlvs. Its just an example of how many little toys that are available with wordpress to play with.

Also if its your own music you will want to change things all the time....remixes /new tracks etc. If you have put up your own site then you can do this in two minutes without having to call anyone
