How similar can be design of webpage to not get sued for it or is it even possible to get sued for it?

I use smallbiz Wordpress template for setting up clients. This should give you a general idea.

If your intent isn't to do phishing or anything like that don't even worry about it, unless it's very similar to the design of a huge corporation. Of course you could always use a free or premium WordPress theme.

Thanks for reply. Design is similar to design of huge corporation and I did design by myself so no graphic from that website was used. Similar is background, colors, and setup of some elements on webpage. This webpage will have nothing to do with similar webpage (is not competition).

Definitely no problem there then.

Biggest risk here is if you're using any photography from these sites. If you get caught using unlicensed stock art by getty or one of the few remaining stock art companies you'll be getting a huge bill and lawsuit threat. I got hit with $14000 from getty. We settled for $1500 after a long dispute that required me to get my lawyer involved.
