Hi chaps

I am a graphic designer and occasionally I get asked to produce websites. I am not a developer, so I will outsource that work after I design the visual concept.

I would like advice on important aspects to include when designing the site that will help long term with SEO and getting the site up the rankings.

Also, I am just looking at a slight redesign on my site and I attach a very early draft, again would appreciate comments from an SEO perspective and just on general design.

Cheers in advance!
Si

By the way, having seen the image on here I'd like to clarify the blue isn't the horrific colour it looks like there!

Simplistic design is trendy again, looks good to me.

Thank you very much for your efforts fxphil. I am aware of the H1 header, but it is hard to work it in and make it look attractive.

Not bad, I'm very rusty in web design so don't consider my input valuable. Perhaps with your design talents - you can team up with a developer and make some impressive sites that way.

Sorry for my typos last night I was super tired but if you have any questions on my layout or need reasons why I made some position changes let me know and I will gladly help and answer anything you throw my way, just pm me.

@OP, if I ever wanted a graphic design and looked at your site, I wouldn't hire you. You gotta look at your competition and see what type of layouts they have and start from there.
