Hi,

Someone copied my whole website and my ranking dropped from 3rd position to 5th page in Google.
After doing some research i found that his domain age is older than mine but my domain name has exact keyword with some suffix. My domain is 1 year old and his domain is 2 year old.

for further research I copied the first paragraph of my homepage content and pasted it on Google and i found that his website is appearing on first page in Google.

What should i do now? Should i change the content of my homepage?
Please suggest some tips to recover my ranking.

Thanks

Well Google would know who posted the content first, perhaps you drop them a note and report the content thief.

It's unusual that your website would be penalised. Contact the website owner via a contact form, telephone number, whois info etc and demand that they remove the plagiarised content immediately or face legal action.

I already contacted them and they have removed the content but still no improvement in my ranking..

you have to wait some.in the mean while daily post a topic on your niche.this may increase ranking

Contact web owner and request for content removal. That's better for you.

If they removed their content and you are the only source of it, then you have nothing to worry about

yup, as all said, first get in touch with website owner

I really hope your ranking returns, I'd give it a week or so before getting worried if the content has been removed it should return to normal.
