maybe Scrapebox + Internet business promoter (IBP) would work. You can get IBP from here for free and test it out, and SB is only 57$ for BHWer's

I use traffic travis to analyse top 20 results quickly, then spyglass to look at competing site's link profiles. Not a massive fan of spyglass so will upgrade to something better soon, maybe Advanced Link Manager

This is depend how you are working - there is not a "best" tool in market for everyone or for every job. But if you are short with cash I would go to scrapebox + serpattack - its best, best, best ever invested 100 USD on SEO :)

I use Serpattacks most ( is quick as hell ), then MarketSamurai, SpyGlass, some web tools like SEOMOZ and sometimes Traffic Travis 3.0

Scrapebox is also great and fast for backlink check.

BTW -> Traffic Travis 4.0 is a crap now - dont invest in this tool in next 6 months until they fix bugs and improve this version to something working ;).
