Website being shared rapidly on social media

If your new website is shared quickly on social media, Google can see signals about traffic and user preferences, but social media is different.
You mean different strategy is needed for each social media platform.

If many real users share your new website, it can bring traffic and trust. Google can identify signals, but it will not directly rank based on social shares.

If lot of people suddenly share a brand new website on social media, it can definite bring traffic and attention. But from what I’ve seen, Google usually doesn’t directly reward social shares alone.

What can happen tho is that more people discover the site, some might link to it, talk about it on blogs or forums, etc. And those things can help SEO more than the shares themselves.

Also big traffic spikes are pretty normal for viral content, so Google probably sees this pattern quite often. As long as the traffic is real and people actually interact with the site, it’s usually not an problem.

Huge social traffic spikes will not directly rank you, but they force Google to crawl your site much faster. The real benefit comes from user engagement metrics and the natural backlinks you pick up from that massive exposure. :alien:

You mean if the traffic comes on website and they spend time on website, ranking will improve ?

If a new site suddenly gets a big traffic spike from Facebook, it doesn’t always help SEO. Google typically places far more importance on organic search signals than social traffic.

If your link appears on many social media platforms: Googlebot finds your page more easily, and the page will be crawled and indexed faster. However, note that social links themselves are usually nofollow and do not directly pass on SEO weight.

What will happen if my new created website is shared rapidly on social media sites by lot of users ? Is google capable of finding this pattern and rewarding it ?
If your website is shared rapidly by real users naturally, it’s a positive signal. Google notices this in terms of traffic and engagement, which can help improve your ranking. However, if sharing is artificial or spammy, Google can detect it and may penalize your site. Focus on natural sharing and high-quality content for the best results.

If your new website is quickly shared by many users on social media, it can increase traffic, attract more backlinks, and boost brand awareness. However, Google does not directly reward rankings just because of social media shares; the benefits are mostly indirect when the content attracts visitors and natural links.

Is doubt this. I know it is hard to fool google but this aspect might not be hard for many BHW members.

Exactly. Each platform has its own 'DNA'—what works as a long-form discussion on LinkedIn would likely flop as a quick TikTok. You have to tailor the delivery to match how people consume content on that specific app.

Social signals are a huge "maybe" in the SEO world. Google says they don't count, but we all know a viral post leads to brand searches and scrapers picking up your links. It's not "organic SEO" by definition, but it's the fastest way to get indexed and show Google your site isn't a ghost town.
