    What are your guys thoughts on creating web 2.0's to drive traffic to your website?

    Yes, this strategy works. But make sure to post long content of 1k words including relevant image and a video. And also post 5/10 contents on each web2.0.

    If you invest time and money to drive traffic to your 2.0's, only then to drive traffic to your money site, you end up working twice. Might as well cash in on the 2.0's themselves. Just my 2 cents.

    Not all web2.0's will get traffic easily without effort (seo, social media promotion, things that can be used directly on your website).

    However you can try web2.0's like tumblr or blogspot and you might see some nice traffic, just by posting content on those blogs.

    If you're creating web 2's purely for the direct traffic (and not for the SEO/ORM benefit) then I don't see why you wouldn't just post the content directly on your own site.
    Visitors aren't magically drawn to web 2's. You're more likely to get your articles ranking on your own site than on a web 2.
