I don't like doing this. But it seems as if more people have been affected. Some of which may need the money harder as I do. So I am opening this up.

Unfortunately Mitch who goes under the username webmastr on BHW and owns a company called NorCal Creative with his brother Mike, seems to be a scammer. You can see his thread right here:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...esigns-turn-your-visitors-into-customers.html

At first it took him a lot longer as he promised to finish the job. I wasn't in a big rush. And as he did show little progress... I decided to give him a few chances.

Then he dissapeared. When he came back, he asked for a second changes. He had some story where he had to move his family out of his home because there was some dangerous mold in his home. And they've been sick and everything.

I felt sorry for the guy. Because I actually had this same problem myself. And it's no joke. So I gave him another chance.

He seemed to want to deliver. Showing me mockups and everything. And it really seemed as if we were only a few days away from completion. Sending me covers for my product to make sure this is what I was looking for. Which is when he dissapeared again. No reply. NOTHING!

Then we all got a message from his brother telling how he was in the hospital, etc. He would refund if you'd reply. Or get $150 towards a future project. Projects would start completing the week after though.

Honestly, I really wanted this graphic. It started to look awesome. And I rather had the graphics as my money back. So I replied it was ok. And I just wanted my graphics. NOTHING came back.

I waited... and waited... and waited... and waited some more.

Then started to send emails. No reply.

I send some more emails. No reply.

I asked for a refund at some point as I got really tired of this. And obviously I still need to wait for a reply.

Now, it may be too late for me. I will start up a dispute either way. At the very least to set something in motion. The money is not very important to me. But the principle of the matter is. Which is that he didn't only take my money, but possibly also money from people who actually needed it. Who could actually use that money to feed their families for a while or whatever. Which is not the case with me.

Till date, he owes me $250. I still honestly rather have the graphics. As they did look extremely good. But I am not counting on it anymore. My only goal is that anyone who is still waiting and falls within the 45 day period will simply open a dispute on paypal. So that they can save their money. As I probably won't be able to do with mine as it has been over 2 months already.

I need to add that he had a serious communication problem right from the get-go. I guess that should've been a sign.

I dunno what problems he had, but he did not deliver the work he promised.

I was also "scammed" by him. I filed a dispute with my bank and won.

Thanks for now.

He scammed me as well, and it all seemed to good to be true in the first place.

He started by offering a special on his thread, after 1 year of inactivity, and got a lot of customers that way. When he got all the transactions done, he tried to run away, but couldn't so came back with a BS story that everyone fell for. So we gave him a second chance, after he left for another time, he came back with another CAR ACCIDENT story. Again bullshit.

He has scammed many of us. Right now it is 1AM, but tomorrow morning the first thing I'll do is upload screenshots of e-mails, and things he has promised MANY OF US.

I have sent webmastr a PM and told him to respond on this
thread and answer to the accusation ExCluSiveG has stated.

@ExCluSiveG: In the meantime, I would like you to provide
any proof you have that will help to verify your accusation.

NOTE: Do not include any personal info.

Thank You - "Wiz"

This is a shame because his work is incredible. Great designer but a lousy and very dishonest businessman it appears.

I'd be glad to. Should I add my email communications with him? Or the fact that I bought something? Because frankly, the thread I linked to and seeing how many people he didn't deliver to seems like proof enough. But if not... what do you see as proof?

I tried adding images into the post. No such luck. Weird "bubble error" as it was called. Trying normal .jpeg files. So it can't be that. Anyone knows what could be the issue?

@ExCluSiveG:

Yes . . . You can include any proof you may
have as long as it does not contain personal info.

To all of my clients,

I have been out of contact for the past 2 weeks and I?d like to offer you my most sincere apologies for any inconvenience I have caused you. You deserve to know where I?ve been and I?m writing this to all of you as an explanation for my absence.

I?m putting myself in your shoes and trying to think how upset I would be if I had not heard anything about my project in two weeks. I know that I would be extremely upset. I?m asking that you put yourself in my shoes for a moment after reading my letter to you all.

For those of you that don?t know, I worked out of an office in my home in Northern California. I?m a married father of two young daughters and wholly support my family from my design/development/SEO business. Some time around 7 weeks ago all 4 of us suddenly fell very ill with some seriously alarming symptoms. After some observation we realized that we were only feeling this way when in the living/dining/kitchen area of our home. We immediately investigated what could be causing this and discovered that there was a major mold problem under our kitchen sink (in a 6 year old home!). After doing some research I found out that this was most likely toxic black mold, which is highly dangerous to humans. I immediately ordered 3 plane tickets for my wife and two kids to fly to safety to stay with family while I resolved this unexpected problem (which has since turned into a fiasco). I continued on in my office trying to work and handle the mold situation as quickly as possible.

I had professional air quality inspectors assess the house right away. I then had a lab air test performed, after which I had the CA dept. of health do a complete contamination analysis on the entire property. The results confirmed my worst fears showing off the chart levels of toxic black mold and Cladosporium, which can cause pulmonary emphysema, skin lesions, keratitis, onychomycosis, sinusitis, and pulmonary infections, migraines, asthma, and the list goes on... The dept. of health condemned the home because it was contaminated beyond repair. I was ordered to leave the house as it was no longer habitable for humans, this was about two weeks ago.

I SHOULD have sent out an email at this time, but I was in survival mode and could only think about taking care of my family, because I now had to find a place to live and work, get a lawyer, move my family, destroy contaminated belongings, switch all utilities, and all of the other mess that comes along with being forced to move at a moments notice. All in a time where this was NOT in my budget.

These past few weeks have been spent packing, destroying contaminated belongings, storing, cleaning, moving, and driving across the country (3,100 miles), finding a home, finding an office, getting utilities, and as of today finally getting my office back up and running.

That being said, many of you have either done a chargeback or requested a refund. Others have written angry reviews or posts. Some of you have already automatically received a refund. Others may have only sent me a few emails of concern (thank you for your patience). I completely understand all of your reasoning and if you still want a refund and will provide refunds to those who want them. If you?ve already done a chargeback but would like to give me a chance to finish your project, please cancel the chargeback and email me as soon as possible and I'll get it moving ASAP.

If your project was in the development phase, it is most likely completed as my developer continued work while I was handling this fiasco. I will sort through my sea of emails and deliver all completed projects accordingly.

For those of you who are still willing to work with me, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and will do everything I can to make up for my disappearance and poor handling of this terrible situation I?ve had to deal with these past few months.

Thanks for hearing me out.

-Mitch

Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I am finally caught up with all work and inquiries after a huge response to this sale. If you're still looking to get this done, yes I can make it work with the shopperpress theme, no problem.

Thanks,
Mitch

I'm also out for pocket for $300 since his disappearance. Full evidence can be provided.

He took my money too. This guy is a bum and I wish nothing but the worse upon him.

Ah that sucks cuz he is a good designer. I even defended him in his thread because he did two great designs for me. Guess you never know with some people.

I was also left with a half finished site. Paid $300, now I have to have it finished somewhere else.
