I have a website which had been sitting at positions 6,7 & 8 on page 1 of G for weeks (for my main keyword)
Now, for the last 2 weeks it has dropped to page 50 and so traffic has pretty much dried up.

I am guessing (hoping) it will come back but from what I have read it could take up to 3 months if sandboxed.

I just noticed in Webmaster tools under sitemaps that it says URLs Submitted - 63 but URLs in web index - 4

When I do a site:domain search all of my pages show up as indexed so what exactly does that mean?

The sitemap for my other sites in Webmaster tools look fine. Submitted URLs are pretty much the same as Indexed URLs

Sounds like g has a beef with your site:) just got to work on it - try and analyse your site and your competition. There will be a reason for the drop, you just got to find it and work around it.

dnt put your site in google webmaster tools ! it will be watched

Don't agree with that. Don't think g has resources to attend to sites on an individual basis, they have rules and algorithms that work globally I think.

If your site was sandboxed, then would you not be visible on the first 1000 results.

It's not unusually that this scenario happens in GWT. Don't think to much about it, but do look on your onsite SEO and see if you suffer from duplicate content.

What kind of offsite SEO have you done before this happened?

I was mainly using AMR with spun deeplinks from the site in the Author box.

Maybe I need to mix up my link building methods.
