Webmaster tool - or am I?

Hi guys having an issue, and came to the place where people know the answer (webmaster forum the most useless place in creation).

I'm new to site building and this is my isssue, joined webmaster tools today, upload my bit of code to head.....

webmaster tools giving no data, google tells me it's cos the www version probably needs to be added as well.

Thing is www doesn't exist. I redirected at birth. How do I upload code to a site that doesn't exist? Do I turn off the redirect and wait for it to appear? I'm existentially baffled.

I assume that you are talking about google webmaster tools and the site submitting section, instead of adding the google code into the index page, try adding the code to a text file and upload the file to the server which i think is the second option google offer to confirm your URL, the code google gives you is always the same code for any of the URL's you want to confirm, I think this should work
