Hey fellow local SEO'ers. Run a local SEO agency and web design business where I focus on local SEO and marketing. I have a website where an outside contractor helps maintain my site. Lately, I have noticed that leads from my contact form randomly don't get to me. I will type in the details of a local business and the lead never arrives...

When I did a test using my own name and email the lead popped to me right away. Is there a place I can test the code for the form directly to ensure leads are not being redirected away from me and cherry picked?

Strange. You sure emails aren't ending up in your spam filter or something? Some contact forms have databases/tables within the CMS (some wordpress ones do for example). You might ask that your webmaster switches to a plugin that has that, so you can go into WP (assuming you have WP) and check it out for yourself. Least that way, the email variable is out of the way.

I might have an independent developer take 10 mins, and checkout the form. See where the emails are going, or if there is anything weird going on.

This is a HTML5 site, not Wordpress. The forms are definitely not going to spam. Once I run a test, I suspect this alerts him and he switches the destination back to me. Is there a way to find the destination in the source code? Or is that hidden in a PHP function?

The form is processed at backend in php...he is randomly sending few leads to himself from there. Do you not have access to the php code?

I do have access, I'm just not a web programmer. Is there way for a non-coder to check the PHP or do I need to hire another web guy to check it?

Paste the code here hiding out any personal info here...I can check it out.

Just fire the guy and be done with it. You don't trust him. Even if he's not doing this specific thing, you still don't trust him. The relationship is poisoned and it's over. Find someone else and move on.
