First thread... So don't cut off my head...

I am starting a webcam studio in Cali,Colombia. I already bought a 2-story house down there and put about $22k in remodeling it. It is completely modernized now. Which takes me to my point. I have seen alot of these "WebCam studio" threads around... on and off this forum... but i never hear of end results or on going battles with the business model etc etc... So since I am new to posting on BHW i thought this would be a great way to contribute to the community.

So let me start with where am at...

Right now i have my company incorporated and ready to do business. I have a 2-story home in colombia thats almost complete. I have too many people wanting and needing work, so finding the girls is not a problem. Got the permits in colombia and everything. Now the only problem that I encountered was lack of plumbing at my new house and thus having to install a plumbing and fresh water system in the house. Other than that i pretty much stayed within budget.

Am at the stage now were am actively looking for investors/partners to fund equipment and working capital. My plan is pretty ambitous as it calls for 24-32 girls working on average... Then "harvesting" the most talented/profitable and building a brand from there. As were i want online profits... I also want offline profits... Apperances... Clubs,Trade Shows, Showrooms etc etc... With the amount of girls working the studio can profit tremendously and use alot of it to market/advertise thus gaining more revenue.

I will not just give out my whole business model. But i can offer advice and help to anyone that is doing something similiar. Maybe we can swap ideas here and there. I will chronicle my success or failure here. What problems have come up... How i solved them... What type of IM tools are the most beneficial to this kind of business. Like i said before my main focus is to create revenue by operating a webcam studio, but use it to get girls that are worth investing in their brand.

If you are interested PM me for details... If you have any advice or suggestion PM me or just post here! ;)

bumping to see if i can get any advice or suggestions

Just a little bump so I can get a few more suggestions, advice or someone interested in working together.

An bumping one more time today to try and get some suggestions and advice.

I am also looking for some extra suggestions on monetizing a girls brand offline or through indirect cam work, so if anyone has some suggestions on that I'd appreciate that.

I've got down this road from the same type of proposal and turned it down because it wasn't sustainable, at least not from my management perspective.

Usually you'll turn your head towards apps like LiveJasmin's, because you can manage all your models from there, and coaching them or finding them clients is a lot easier. Your models will earn up to $800/mo. and you'll be getting around $60-$200k first year. This of course if you don't fire them, guarantee a minimum salary, and ask for fixed working hours. But that's totally different from what it looks on paper.

Because hiring is a problem. You'll need to do the auditions, see how girls perform, what potential they have, if they have friends, inhibitions, if they're students, breasts size etc. Their loyalty will always be in question, and you can't trust them because customers tend to fall in love with them, with your girls, and get creative. Your girls will keep them in check by regularly having them send money outside your scheme for BS excuses, and that's where keyloggers & log analysis comes into play. It will be a horrible job just trying to keep your girls from not contacting the customers directly outside your system.

At some point in time, after 5-6 months girls will realize they can do this on their own and depart your small studio to earn better. That's why you'll always have to run a profit-oriented policy, and keep growing, keep hiring more people.

It's ugly, it's hard, and to me its disgusting. But if you don't end up in court after the first year, you'll have enough money to start a real, sustainable business.

Appreciate the reply! Some of the things you have said I have sat and thought about a lot. I realized the high turnover rate and side profits from the girls. So I came up with a couple of solutions. First a comprehensive pay scale from a hourly wage to a partnership type of deal with my management company. Making sure that the pay scale is achievement oriented. Also beside the pay scale am offering the girls corporate advancement. Provide them with non-cam related work, maybe administrative, marketing, management. I plan to use profits to expand my company so work is going to be readily available.

Based on my projections and experience running a studio with 24-32 girls work a day will net us between $360k-$500k a year with no growth of the company whatsoever. Also to maximize profits am starting the first studio in Colombia. Where it will be easier to err and it not cost very much. On top of that there are tons of women there that fit many different niches and are willin to work at double the minimum wage with no problem. When I start my first studio in the USA the pay scale and non-cam work related jobs are really gonna come into play.

Also my company is a modeling agency, with webcaming being just one branch(probably most lucrative) of the company. Am planning to use my studios to identify potential cash cows and invest in their brand to gain even more profit for non-cam modeling in the near future. I see camming as a lucrative venture and a good way to build my models brand.

No real secrets here. Tough to make money as a studio, your left with so little after everything. Being in colombia helps in the cost of living, but those girls are a dime a dozen. You need cute/pretty white girls, who can speak english. Thats where the monies bee att.

I find there to be more money from niche fetishes ... But of course I plan to "harvest" the most mainstream girls to do offline profits.

if you want PM your skype ID, i have a couple of advice to give you

Also I was wondering if anyone knew good ways to lower how much in taxes i would have to pay out... ;)

Your english is very good. Where are you from? I don't agree with what you are doing but I guess we have to accept other countires laws or lack of.

I am American. My parents are from Colombia. Webcamming is both legal here in the US and in Colombia. :D

Hey there, do you have any plans for what software you're going to use to run the site yet? Are there off the shelf solutions for something like this or does it have to be custom coded?

Well am not starting a site... Am starting a brick and mortar studio. I have to worry about a few programs... just a splitting the stream to be on multiple sites at once, keylogger and other misc programs.

There's 3 problems with this type of sites :
- bandwidth cost and disponibility for the servers,
- the upload rate disponibility in the studio,
- the software, that need to be secure, integrate a payement system, and must be custom

That's why there's not many clones sites. Only white brands.
