with content or spam content, i notice that web2s doesnt work anymore...
i guess this is because they are heavily spam already...
now i used them as tier2s and tier3s..

another link source is gone...

now what works now are those links that are not open to everybody...

yeah yeah like 3 mos testing of pure web2s only....

only heavy users knows that web2s doesnt work anymore...

i have 2 workers that test my theory....

i always put some extra money to test some stuffs...

Spun contents? You are doing it wrong. I personally use unique and readable contents only for my first tiers. Treat your first tiers like how you treat your money site!

Can the 2nd tier f*** up the 1st tier 'cause they are spam? I mean...if secon tier loose "power" (de-indexed), the 1st will have less link, so it should loose rank...is it right?

Web 2.0s are no different than websites. There are web2.0s with very high value that have a lot of juice.
This is common sense, really.

Web2s can capture a lot of traffic. I would use it for more than just link tiers.

I tested web 2.0's recently as well, even after the most recent penguin updates and got good rankings. And they stuck! The content I used is shit too.

If I was going to guess I'd say you probably 1)didn't make enough links and 2) didnt get enough of them indexed. Depending on how competitive your niche is you might need to go outside what web 2's can offer as well.

Other contextual type links are a good compliment to web 2's. Drupal blogs and such.

Some of my old web 2.0s are higher PR then the sites they are pointing to.

Don't blame the web 2.0s.... They are workin just fine

I think you did wrong keyword research and so, not getting any ranking. I usually do Tier-3 web 2.0 and I comment in Drupal Blogs. And guess what my money site is ranking in 1st page for many keywords.

I think you are doing something really wrong. Start from sketch nicely and let us know the results. I hope you will see the power of Web 2.0 pyramid backlink system.
