Web Host to avoid for Autoblogging

One thing I noticed in reading the thread is you all are talking about shared hosting. Has anyone used a VPS server for their autoblogs? Also, I have heard from a reliable source at IMPROTOOLS.com that lunar pages are what he uses. I find it interesting the back and forth with hostgator especially. I have heard they will ban you at the drop of a hat.

Share Hosting + Autoblogging = Cancelled accounts

I have a bunch of sites, and have gone from shared, to VPS, and now have everything running on a dedicated server.

If you are on a shared server, they absolutely will suspend your account first, and then ask questions later. Reason is you are tying up too much CPU resources. And, since this is a shared server, other websites need their allocated CPU speed.

Of course, I would recommend you still stick with the shared host until you can get enough money for a VPS, and then a dedicated server. Stick with one company that is pretty decent and can provide all of the services, like transferring your account over each time.

Wouldn't recommend Host Monster.

Been hearing good things with lunar pages, like the fact that they transfer your server to a cloud if it does a CPU spike. Any consensus.

I am running blogs fine on Host Gator. I am running I think 7 or 8 blogs with them. The ONLY time I ever had a problem with host Gator was I was hosting MP3's for download on a site with them and they contacted me about it. Thats it. Very good host IMO.

One of my web hosts is 3ix. Just today I found I had 0 visitors when I checked my adsense reports and when I checked the site it was suspended. I had received no emails from them about the suspension. They just blocked my 3 sites there. I went online with their live helpdesk and he unblocked my a/c w/o saying anything. When I asked why it was blocked in the first place he said my sites causing CPU spikes on their server. He said they'll do it again if my sites cause their lousy cpu to spike again. I told him thank you I'll move my sites.

My other host at Blue Voda doesn't give me this kind of shit when though I have more autoblog sites there than at 3ix.
I'll be moving my 3 sites from 3ix to Blue Host to spread my ip still.

stay away from bluehost, they just suspended me last week because of cpu spike and fyi i host only 1 autoblog there...

Hi, I have the same problems as yours. My account has been deactivated as I use too much CPU. They ask me to opimize scripts before restore! but i have no idea of how to do this!!

So, how you guys solve this? Change to other host?? I am not willing to change host now. So, I am wondering if I can delete all installation, then reinstall again??

I am with Bluehost, and they ask me to contact abuse department.

Any body has ideas what I am supposed to do??

Cheers!

Hey guys!
What is your opinion about servage? I just got a hosting with them and everything is so smooth atm. But I kinda fear that they wont let me to use certain amount of cron jobs for that price.
I miss my dedicated sever at techiemedia but i just can't afford it anymore.

3 years with them, no problems so far except that they get hacked now and then so I created a script to check if my files where changed and if so it puts a backup back... no problems after that.

Hostgator is great for autoblogging. Had no trouble with them at all, although you have to make sure you aren't running too much cron jobs and taking up too much server resources. They will suspend you if that happens (most shared hosts will).

Hostgator will not let anyone install blackhat cloakers. If your app doesn't meet their TOS, your dead in the water. GoDaddy, looks the other way....but I can't speak with authority about some of the apps used in this forum. GoDaddy might be the kiss of death. They are fogiving of virtual hosting apps, but Hostgator gets spooked around virtual hosting.

if let's say i installed a nulled version of interspire email marketer on shinjiru.com, and sen emails, will my ip get blacklisted due to my hosting is an offshore?

what kind of blackhat cloakers?

You should also avoid justhost...I'm only host 5 autoblog with a few plugins and they suspend my account for using too much cpu resource...the best one I've found are hostgator and hostmonster, I'm hosting about 10 autoblog with no problem with them...

Bluehost freezed my a/c for 1/2 hr today when one of my autoblogs spiked their cpu. BH is also the owner of Hostmonster so don't expect HM to have different set of rules.

Guys I've got about 8 cron jobs spread throughout the day will hostgator complain about that on the cheapest plan ? Am planning to host my website with them when the first payment gets in because my own server is fully loaded continouisly.

With autoblogging, you need to look at the CPU usage.

If you stick with 1 site, on a shared host, and do a casual autoblog, you will be OK. But, when you start setting up a bunch of sites for autoblogging, you are going to run into trouble.

The next area to look at is the mysql usage, which in turn falls to the cpu usage. The more traffic you get, pulling content from the mysql database, also increases cpu usage.

This is the fastest way to get your account suspended when on a shared host.

I use a dedicated server, and have had no problems. Even with the one spike 3 days ago on my cpu, the host helped me out with the wp-cron job so it will not run as much.

So, don't get upset when your account gets suspended because you are hogging all of the shared server resources. Just pony up the jack and get a VPS or dedicated server.

I've just signed with this Philippine host that allows "grey" stuff and his price is really low at US$2/mth for unlimited domains but cap on traffic and storage. Use a coupon code JULY and got another 50% off so the final price for 1 yr's hosting is US$12 LOL!!
Gonna use that for some autoblogs just to spread the cpu juice.

Check out their site (no affiliate code here too)

Are you sites at voidstone up now? Mine are not!

sorry about noob's question, but isn't it wrong to host 7 autoblogs all on the same server and the same IP address. That way you are giving a clear clue to the Big G that all those blogs are just a part of the same scheme.

Am I wrong in assuming that if you are doing autoblogs, they all need to be spread across different IP addresses?
