Web host that doesn't ban for cpu usage?

Anyone know any shared hosting plans that throttle the cpu/database entries rather than just outright ban the account?

I have a website that can be rather cpu and database intensive based on user activities.

Every now and then the webhost suspends the account for too much resource usage. Which takes all my websites offline. Don't have enough money for dedicated or vps.

Suggestions? My budget is like 10-20$/month.

^ How does it work in terms of, "too much cpu usage" can I set it up so the server just throttles it? or does the vps setup automatically do that? I'd rather just have lower server at high usage times rather than have the websites go offline for the entire day.
 
Since it's a VPS you can pretty much control everything as when you make a vps purchase you get your own small private server which you have full control over.
 
You won't find many that don't outright ban the account since it can severely slow down or crash other users websites. Better to kill 1 persons hosting than everyones.

I would suggest optimizing the script or find a VPS provider that doesn't oversell and will actually tell you their resource management guidelines rather than being told to do it yourself....
 
if your budget is 10-20$ for 5$-7$ you can buy a vps. A vps is like a dedicated server, if you use a lot of CPU or RAM only your vps will crash ;)
Pros of buy a VPS:
- More cheap of shared hosting (for 5$-7$ you can get a good one)
- dedicated IP included
- You can put every script that you want on (not illegal one, check alway laws of the country where the vps is)
- full controll of every thing

Wrong. Heavy CPU usage may or may not impact other VPS's. It depends on the VM used, as they may use a shared pool or a dedicated pool. If its dedicated then maxing it won't be an issue. If its shared then you're essentially using shared. Also, offering a VPS for $5-$7 usually means oversold and thus resource usage problems.

wrong?? I refer to Xen VPS where ram and cpu are dedicated LOL
