web developers? coder? programmers? need your suggestion here

OP, are you really asking what is the easiest programming language to learn, just as a hobby?

If it is for business then you need to hire the best programmers you can afford or at least somebody to manage them.
Your job should be to delegate. You should give them the problem to solve and let them get on with it.
You should not have to suggest alternative ways of achieving the end result or finding the solution for them.
If you have hired the wrong team then find a tech savvy recruitment consultant to find replacements.
If you spend too much time micro managing then you will lose sight of the bigger picture, which should be to grow your business.

My point was/is the fact that languages like C / Java is needed in virtually every stream of science unlike PHP / Ruby or other web based languages. I believe it is called Computer Application right? He can use it for other purposes too if he wants.. and not only for Web development.
That's why, may be.. it is important to learn the basics first.

Udemy and such platforms or sites only teach how to get a specific job done, perhaps a fraction of the basics (they keep the market running by leaving plenty of room to teach more).
Understanding the terminology & methodology are very important for a solid foundation and then advance to build concepts/ideas on your own. If I were to do it all over again I'd start with PHP and then Java.

Its true that my purpose is handling the business development side but however i believe that if i am running a tech company i should know the basic. thank you for the advise guys. does mobile application uses the same language too?

Depends on the operating system. Android uses java btw.

They would'nt go like... this way doesnt work, so in order to achieve this goal we pivot into another alternative which align with the same goal. You'll never learn enough about programming to be able to really be helpful. And usually when a programmer says they can't do something, it's because they simply don't have the experience to pull it off, or, they know that to implement what's requested will be expensive, time consuming and full of problems. The "trick" to finding a great programmer is to find one that lives and breaths it. That loves to find more efficient ways to do something.

Seems to me though that you have a much bigger problem. Your tech guy is a co-founder and with this thread you're saying you don't trust him to do what's best for the product/company. If you don't trust him now, it's going to lead to much bigger problems down the road.
