Web developer stack question, preferably for remote working

What is needed to become a web developer and work remotely? Are HTML, CSS and Javascript only sufficient? In my area also a framework is needed like react or angular. Your knowledge and/or opinions on this?

You will need to know html css and javascript the rest depends. If you are competent with javascript then you'll be able to learn any of the front end framework.
Maybe pick one so that you are familiar with the concepts or state management etc.. nextjs seems to be the popular one at the minute.

My primary role is a backend developer mostly with dotnet but I work regularly with Vue and react on the front end. I don't have much Web design experience so my answer is probably lacking if that's the route you want to down.
