Hi everybody! Introductions are important; while this isn't an elevator pitch, I thought I should at least say hello, a little about me and what I hope to achieve in the very near future.

I'm a freelance web and graphic designer by trade and entirely self taught. I'm not very successful but I make enough to scrape by as it stands. One of my very best qualities is my ability to absorb large amounts of detailed information in short time frames (especially with the help of others) which I why I converted from a lurker to a registered member in less than a few hours. One of my biggest issues is lack of work/lack of quality clients and my previous negative and overly skeptical nature ? I am British after all.

I am pretty damn good at what I do but it seems as if there is some higher power that will not allow me to work under someone else, or rather make somebody else rich for a wage. I have rather good business instinct and understanding but have always lacked the cash to do anything with it other than watch others do what I thought of years ago. I'm here to learn as much as I can to further promote and market what I do as my future and my families future depends on it. I would say that I don't quite have an intermediate knowledge of white hat SEO practices and everything that surrounds it but saying I had a beginners understanding would be largely underselling myself.

I'm relaunching my business; entire brand overhaul and name change, due to be finished end of Jan. Originally I only offered web *design* and graphic design services however most clients want awesome websites and so I had to learn HTML/CSS/PHP and I'm still learning but I know enough to be able to use existing frameworks and themes to then rip apart and customise for my clients. I now want to offer complete creative services across the board and?ironically?offer SEO services too on a larger, more upmarket scale.

I plan to hire experts in their respective fields but can only do so if I pull in projects with enough value/decent monthlies for design, development or SEO etc. Naturally I need to really learn as much as I can in order to market what I do and increase the number of enquiries I have as the conversion is the easiest part in my job.

A few things that would really help me out on my quest right now would being able to afford the SEO PowerSuite (I realise it's discounted right now) and MOZ subscription as they both seem incredibly powerful and helpful evaluation tool sets. At the top of my local town and eventually city, search results is where I want to be. It's a toughy but it's not entirely out of reach.

So yeah, that's me and what I want and could do with at the moment. So an extra hello and thank you for anyone that read this far!
