I own the web design/development company Unix Commerce. Its been a great ride so far. Now I want to move from just a freelancer to a company with an unbeatable team. Im looking for 4 people to bethe board. Everything is thought out. I just need you to enjoy the riches.

I need someone to lead the following teams.

1) A web designer to keep the web designers on task
2) A project manager to keep the client project running smoothly
3) Asales/support expert to be head of sales and support
4) Amarketer to be head of marketing

1) Thehead of web design will help his team build websites, render web masterservices, and do set-up of products for clients. (We already have over 200 webdesigners ready to eat up any work)
2) Theproject manager will manage the web/graphic designers, keep clients updated, and create proposals/convert leads into active projects.
3) Thehead of sales and support will provide clients with information as it appearsin our back-end. Answer FAQ's and manage/ add to knowledge base as the companygrows.
4) Thehead of marketing will bring new jobs in. His job is mostly to maintain thesystem we already have going. It brings in 3-5 new leads a day on average. Lotsof work to be done. This person will bring targted users to the site, captureand convert leads to potentials to active clients

Before you appoint people to the board you should put together your C-level team.

Before you put together your C-Level team, you'd really want to have enough employees and a large enough business to warrant that - otherwise you could easily be spending over $1 million on salary, pension, bonus and incentive packages to employ people who don't have much to do. I'm sure you have better things to do with that spare $1M at this stage?

There are many other steps you are jumping the gun on too, but a quick question will save the time it takes to list them all - how many full time, salaried employees does your business currently have?

I'm also putting together an SEO team if anyone is interested...I need:

1:A web-designer to make websites
2:A head of SEO to rank websites
4.A head of bank accounts to manage the money.

Everything is thought out.

You're too cynical - I'm thinking about the IPO
Sounds like pink sheet stock to me, can anyone see the pump and dump?

I am not sure you are doing the right thing unless you have employees ready to take care of actual projects. Good luck though.

Don't bother with these Unix Commerce guys, they spammed the hell out Craigstlist for several months tricking all web designers into giving them references to people and companies they have worked with and in the end, they stole those contacts and didn't even ask for references. They then contacted those references and tried to sell their own web design services to them, NOT asking about past work with the respective designers. So, go somewhere else to trick people
