Web Design marketing

I just ran across an amazing website WordPress creation tool called Ultimatum. The developer's version
is selling for $57 as a 1/2 price special. Search for it. It utilizes a lot of drag and drop, and can make simple
or very complex sites. I bought it and watched all the instructional videos. Watch the intro video and test
the demo site.

Thanks guys a lot of awesome ideas here. Business has indeed been picking up done 3 websites since this post. Got some friends referring me as well so hopefully get some leads there. Going to do that facebook/twitter blast as well as doing some sites for free for non-profit groups. Thanks so much for the advice I really appreciate it. Never knew how fun this could be.

You could even partner up with someone who does SEO and he could get you to do his sites and you could get him to do your SEO once you get running properly. You can white label your services so other seo firms can build sites through you but pass it off as their own to their clients? PM me some sample sites u done and ur website

There a lot of great suggestions that can get your foot in the door but you should be looking for companies who are need of the services you are offering. Try checking out the second pages of Google, I'm sure they can use SEO. See if they have a Mobile site? You can find this out by typing in Google.com/m. Referrals are always a great way to get the word out as well. You might want to think about offering some free BASIC sites and give them an affiliate links for hosting and an upgrade option for a more advanced site at a higher fee? Just think outside the box and take action you'll get results.

Cool thanks again. Sorry for the late response but my website is webdesignyou use my contact form so you can give me your mail so I can send you some samples.

If possible try to publish some ads in business related magazine such as SME magazine or business financial Magazine to target business man . It give you larger exposure compare to directories like yellow pages which too much competitor in there.
Since you do design flyer, you might go with flyer campaign as well and distribute to those industrial area. If possible try to go more event and find for potential prospect and some partnership.

Free sites would be a good idea to local charity organisations. If possible get them on a affiliate hosting package so you at least get paid something for your work :)
Also local IT firms that have a old looking website, offer them a revamp for referrals :)

This is one of the best suggestions here. Since it is so competitive, plenty of newbies need to do some work for free or for trade just until they build up enough of a reputation to get good referrals. Their work and portfolios could be stellar; it is is just the fact that not many people know about it yet. I would say trying some cold calling and visiting local businesses in person are tactics worth the effort. The most important point is to be persistent and demonstrate what you can do for them with a modern and revamped website.

Don't work for free! Sure you can use this method to fill a portfolio and get experience but at least charge low fees so you actually enjoy the work... No other respectable businessmen work for free.
