never underestimate your clients and the other people who arw gonna hire you if you just wanna hustle and make some shitty site to earn some money it wont bring you far, sure you can get lucky to find a a few of those mom & pop type companies you talk about but how many are gonna actually hire you over some other designers who offer a better design and price? Its like a SEO saying i am looking for some ignorant clients and tell them how he/she will bring them on #1 on google then later not do it. To be a good web designer you gotta be really good in html and css if others are gonna do the coding for you.

AS for the people who think 'rap posters' aren't professional, who are you to make the judgement that hiphop oriented work isn't professional? I designed it for the client and got paid for it. I am proud of that fact and a lot of people would be impressed at the fact a 17 year old designed for Lil Wayne.

If you did that work then talk about it, the whole process from the record labels contacting you to you doing the work.

Thats a big project. If you did that at 17 I would have stuck to that niche.

Also when going after businesses try your luck at selling to those that use the free websites.

I don't know how he sold so many of those wix things. They look crap.

Learn to use wordpress templates at least!

It makes the up selling part easier too. SEO on flash websites is worthless as search engines read flash websites at blank pages. They can't crawl flash content.

Oh for real, okay fair enough, I'll look into Wordpress a bit later on. I stuck to urban graphic design for a few years but it was too time-consuming and there were too many artists undercutting prices. Considering a good piece takes 30 mins, I wanted a quicker source of money. This Wix idea is a starter's block, and eventually I'll be outsourcing to cheap web designers who my cousin knows in India.
