What is the best language to learn for creating a program which will be used for web automating?
Do you have experience in any programming languages? Are you wanting to do desktop or web programming? PHP for web and .NET for desktop would be my suggestions. If you just want to automate a few things, hire someone, you'll save a lot of time.
I would like to learn web programming so i will start learning PHP.Thanks for suggestion.
And do you have some softwares to recommend?
NodeJS libraries for testing.
I found that Zend Studio is the best software for php programming. What do you think, should i start with it?
you can try ubot for creating custom bots(i never try this but read many times about ubot)
I would initially start making some windows based ubot's to just get the jist of what it is like to make programs and then start on with learning a language.
Try PHPStorm, it is better.
I will try it, thanks.
You should check python it's easy to learn
Ok, i will have that in my mind.
I'd go with Notepad++ for php
php for web automation is not the best option, you are very limited to what you can automated, you will better with .net or autoit for small bots
i tried autoit but i couldn't make it to work with firefox.I decided to go with python.
Just pick one language and stick with it to get some general programming experience.
Once you reached the limits of that language, you can simply adopt your know how to another language.
python definitely. php is limited if you want to do real browser automating
Going to throw in my vote for a .Net language, specifically C#. You can use it for web stuff (Asp) or local windows apps, so it's pretty powerful. In my experience Python just isn't as useful or as widely used. But hey, I'm biased as a .Net developer
Separate names with a comma.
