from what I've heard web 3.0 is supposed to be focused on the users ... and social networks ( digg, stumbleupon, etc ) ... let the users do all the work ...

my predictions are that it's going to take a while longer till we get there :)
 
No, that's web 2.0. Web 3.0 is still quite undecided but many believe it will be more about linking together everything with everything and ofc. further development of the Web 2.0 concept.
 
I for one would like to... oh forget it.

So, basically, when mybloglog violates my messenger status, showing my porn blog to my family members, that's called web 3.0. better owned 3.0.
 
It's when we transcend our physical bodies and in fact, become solely facebook profiles.
 
I imagine the internet being more incorporated and available as a whole. Wireless access everywhere.... a universal platform... devices capable of interfacing with web like we've never seen. Floppy pieces of plastic that can access your digital book library for example. I can't imagine what the increased bandwidth will bring...

I would think web 3.0 is when everything is connected to the internet and everything mechanical and electronical is controlled by the internet

let me give you guys some news web 2.0 and web 3.0 doesn't exist :) it's the same old web :) but for sure mind control seems nice :D

web 3.0 will be more personal, great for stalking like twitter.
 
web 3.0 will basically have more synergy and integration. Everything will be connected like never before. Marketing will be more precise and tailored to each user.
Google will control everything...they will launch a new form of advertising that will be connected to your browsing..(google chrome..gmail ..everything collects data about you)

I think..the web will get more and more filtered..user recommendations will determine everything...There will be more of a focus on retaining traffic rather than getting new traffic...
 
Web 2.0 = Pretty, clean , gradient look
Web 3.0 = The new hype will be not the look, but the way technology "understand and interprets" the data we give it, to be more human like it its processing..basically AI.
 
Web 3.0 will be based around mobile internet I reckon.
3G devices like netbooks and phones.

The latest mobile internet technology is HSDPA, which gives full broadband speed (around 8MB).

You can only currently get a HSDPA signal in cities though, devices usually fall back to 3G in most areas.
