Hi friends,

In the posts of this post: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/any-success-with-web-2-0-powered-or-unpowered.1380490/
There many posts said web 2.0 links useless nowadays, does it mean that web 2.0 links has dead for seo? If so, what to do? Only PBNs works now? Any kind friend could explain for me? :)

Big thanks! :)

some of them are still good, but most are useless, yes. You should get them just for diversity purposes and never expect them to rank any of your keywords. Besides, many web 2.0s nofollow the links, so... even more useless :)

PBNs, guest posts and niche edits are the best types of links on the market today. Foundation links could also work a little bit (in non-competitive niches, for easy keywords, and when there are 100s of them), but if you're gonna build 100+ foundation links, manually, just to boost your rankings from position #59 to position #54.... you'd be better off creating one more piece of content instead...

I agree with @tazarbm but I'd also like to mention do follow niche related forum links can work quite well. Obviously they are not as powerful as PBN and guest posts but they are free.

oh shoot, you're right! For some reason I always forget to mention specialty forums, which are not just a decent source of backlinks but also a good source of traffic. Good mention :)

They are still good for branding, make sure to create web 2.0s on all the big platforms with your brand name in the URL.

You can also build tier 2 links to them without too much worry

There are like 5 decent web2 platforms, the rest are just a waste of time. And if you manage to find good expired web2's they'll help but they are hard to find.
Just like with any other domain, it's all about the links.

People who aggressively spreading this shit "Web 2.0 not working anymore" are mostly guest post sellers or promoter or noob in seo who actually influenced with other. Check out their signature or bio you'll find what i'm saying.

Check out what i achieved just with web 2.0 & profile links. This is not 2008 result this is 2022 result with web 2.0 links

Just because it didn't work for a bunch of people, it doesn't mean it doesn't work,
after all, not everyone will be able to get the required content and indexing method to get these links working,

Many of the web 2.0s platforms got devaluated for months, their links don't get indexed either they're worth the work,
While many others still work just fine, but still need some good content and especially a good way/service to get them indexed,

The whole thing is that you need a good tweak to create a good one of these (manually or in bulk),
and especially know where to point and use them,
don't expect to compete with strong link just using web 2.0s, but for easy/foreign niches/keywords, they're a goldmine

Web 2.0 links still work but you need to push them with Tier-2 links. Most web 2.0s have 0 authority and won't increase rank themselves. So, most people use them for diversity purposes. However, if you have unique ranking content in your web 2.0s, they'll increase the trust score of your site and help it rank better.

Considering all these things, you should create only quality web 2.0s and strictly avoid creating spammy ones just for backlinks.

Web 2.0 works great and still working awesome, you only need to take care quality of content and indexing.

Web2.0s are not dead , but relatively used in just small ratios for only good branding ! But still works and people are using !

Thanks much for all replies above! :) I analysis by myself, since web 2.0s platforms are used by many much people around the world, in every country, it means that the articles and posts in web 2.0s indicate many much people's opinions and views, many much people use web 2.0s, but not many much guys use private site, google use backlinks for main element of rank, it means that google need people's opinions, for PBN and guest posts, of course the backlinks are useful, but if web 2.0s links useless, it means that google starts to ignore the majority vote of people who use web 2.0s, but only focus on the guys who have their private websites. (pbn). In this aspect, it is not logic and reasonable.

Well done for making such a common-sense statement, and allowing the people who think noobs know nothing, think twice! :D

For those claiming they still work, maybe some of you can help me out?

I have 5 blogspot/wordpress web 2.0, all of them with unique content, as in really unique, quality, everything. All of them refuse to index since 3 months.

Let's skipp the usual off-site SEO, on-site SEO, sitemaps, etc. Everything is by the books. None of them indexes.

On contrast, I have 3 spam blogs, with the crapiest content alive. And all of them are indexed in a matter of days.

So, what gives? What's up with blogspot/wordpress? IS there like a time frame you need to wait, or what?

No links have been blasted to them. This can't be the reason.

All of them are in GSC, all of them discovered, not indexed. Tried every possible way you can find online, no results.

Some insights?
