Hi All,

So I've heard a lot about Tiered Link Building and Web 2.0 Links on platforms such as WordPress & Blogspot etc.

If I create a Web 2.0 link, create sufficient pages and content and then place a homepage link, will that provide any power to my site?

With power if you mean boost your serp positions then it's rare only in cases where your target topic/keyword has very low competition.
Don't expect wonders from web 2.0 backlinks they are good for diversity and you can also get your fresh new domains some initial boost in metrics (DA/DR..........).
Also there are some platforms often referred as parasites, these can rank and drive traffic.

Of course, it has to be a decent web 2.0 site. Something with an obvious style & purpose. Not just a blank site for link's sake.
There are around 100+ web 2.0 sites & blog builders you can use.
However, challenges these days are waiting for them to index.

I've created 25 web 2.0s and I didn't rank shit, I doubt that 1 backlink will do anything for you :)

Also, what do you mean by "place a homepage link". You can't place links on homepages of web 2.0 properties... not unless you own them, obviously

Is there a list of these parasites around? I'm just looking to power up a couple of pages and thought a few Web 2.0 sites could do the job

A good manually built web 2.0 can be very useful,
Just make sure to build a decent one with a custom design, multiple pages & handwritten long-form content

You should use Rankerx & GSA SER with some good list, they should do the work

Don’t expect miracles, web 2.0s are best for diversity and branding. For power build your own PBNs

If you are using Web2.0 make sure you have contents on the Web 2.0

Don't waste your time. This worked well in 2016, decently in 2018, and is pretty much useless in 2021. Focus your energy on building your website.

Hello dude ,,

Web 2.0 links are powerful ways to help control the conversation of content that’s directed to a website. These types of backlinks are from highly authoritative domains and, when done correctly, can carry some serious ranking power.

All indexed?

All indexed?
I created 39 web 2.0s early June (so, 2 months ago), a few of them got indexed within a week and without me doing anything, while others I had to submit to various indexers to get indexed, but sometimes it worked. Other times, the web 2.0s that got indexed got deleted because the free trial account I used to create those backlinks expired and when it expires they take your entire post down, too.

So, after 2 months of trying varying indexing things I have 19 that are still indexed, and which GSC had picked up. But they haven't done anything, SEO-wise, but that might be because I pointed them to a website in the pregnancy niche that is mostly copied (well, scraped from wayback machine) content and which target no keywords in particular. So, it's basically very hard to rank in that niche alone, even moreso with copied content and for pages that target no keywords. But... I was testing the waters anyway, so I'm not fully disappointed :)

So, yeah, 19 links of out the 39 that I've built 2 months ago are still indexed

Web2.0 is hardly to work nowadays. The best thing you can do is to do guest posting. You can use web2.0 for your tier 2 anyway.

No, it won't. You'd have to be lucky and of course targeting very low competition keywords. There were times tiered link building were used in ranking sites but now things have changed.

It will provide support to your primary backlink website. Blogs, Social networking sites are the example of tier 2 links. If you have backlinks from high quality niche related sites, It will pass some authority and trust to your site. Otherwise It will have only effect not much as we imagine.
