Web 2.0 Link Wheel is it Beneficial?

I just want to ask, is building a link wheel using web 2.0 beneficial?

Here's what I did:

Which one would be more beneficial. This is just the first part of my link building will be using comments, doc shares and profile links for tier 2. Any comments would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Both diagrams will leave a big footprint for big G to pick up on. I'd try opening wheel "A" up and maybe only use 4 or 5 tier 1 sites at first, if that. Once you see your SERP results increase, then add some more. Link up your tier 1 sites with quality tier 2 links. After that you're pretty safe as you have a good buffer between your money site and tier 2 & 3 links.
The main thing these days is to try and keep everything random with your linking. Use random and natural looking patterns for everything. Start out slow, see what works for your site and keywords, then ramp it up from there.
 
All link wheels are bad. Anyone that says otherwise is wrong, dumb, and/or dishonest. Link pyramids are good as long as you don't over-spam the links. Wheels are bad. All wheels are bad. All architectures that close on themselves are bad. It's just a more-complex form of reciprocal backlinking, which is also bad. This is old news. Whoever told you about linkwheels is dated. Ignore them. Don't take any advice from them either. Or do linkwheels, as they are bad.

Use the weekest web2s to link to stronger ones and blast weeker ones. interlink stronger web2s randomly by context, but leave some of them open would be my advice. This will give you a three layer pyramid with an open miniwheel on top. It's some work and not always worth the effort imho.
 
Thanks I will try to use the high pr ones as the first tier and keep it open as you have guys have said. So its basically now a link line since it will not be closed to form a wheel. Can I do something like web 2.0 on first tier. then some web 2.0 again on the second tier?

Web 2.0 Link building is very very essential & If you do it manually then more better, As per my suggestions don't use software / tools / bot for web 2.0 Link building, you can use it for tier2 links
More web 2.0 website links are more better, & each and every content should be unique, otherwise it will get spam....
I create 150 web 2.0 different website link for one clients & that will make more benefits & my each and every link is manually not use by any software, So I recommend to everybody don't use software for web 2.0

One of the biggest challenges in SEO is time. You cannot get your time back. In my opinion not using automated software for repetitive tasks (such as creating and posting to Web 2.0 accounts) is a waste of time. However, I always use custom unique articles, so my articles look the same whether I personally post it or whether I have a bot do it. I could see your point though if people were using the same article or creating a massive footprint using software. But if you're smart about it, then that shouldn't happen.
 
Linkwheels work now too. But you shouldn't interlink them. Thats a bad post penguin method.
 
Instead of link wheel, try link pyramid which leaves less footprint. I do web2.0 in 1st tier followed by pligg bookmarks in 2nd and blog comments in 3rd tier.

Are you sure about this? A post-penguin service i bought on BST had an interlinked web 2.0 linkwheel.
 
I do not use link wheels anymore and have had great success with linkpush pyramids. I create high quality tier 1 web 2.0 links and then create a number of high quality web 2.0 links pointing at them, and then social bookmarks, forum profiles, web 2.0 profiles and blog comments pointing at those.

So for example web 2.0 pointing to my money site will have images and vids to make it look natural as possible and then I might create 2,3,4 or even 5 high quality web 2.0 with images and vids pointing at that link. Remember anchor diversity and randomly point to other sites such as wikis and sites related to ur article to make it even more natural.
 
dont use linkweels. They are not working anymore. Just point those sites to your site and other authority sites of your niche, but dont use exact keywords for them. use those web 2.0 propperties as hubs and build a shitload of backlinks to them with your keyword as anchor.
