Hey guys,

black hatter apprentice here :)

So as I understand I need to create some web 2.0 properties which will eventually link to my money site. There are quite a few lists for web 2.0 sites too but when I actually try to create something on these properties something always goes wrong. Here is what happened to me:

1 - LiveJournal has nofollow links (my first link was to authority site, not my own)
2 - Jimdo has a noindex nofollow on entire site until they review it
3 - Webnode seems okay but drives me crazy with its interface and besides, did you ever see a webnode subdomain in search results? or maybe this doesn't matter?
4 - Hubpages nofollow

I thought I should avoid Blogger since it belongs to Google... Or that doesn't matter? I am not sure about WordPress, I could certainly use one but I guess my links have to come from different Web 2.0

So what are web 2.0 sites that actually work these days?

Do you use sites like Webnode? To me it looks like something abandoned, like suburbs of the Internet or something...

Wordpress, Tumblr, squidoo, There are also tons of others but these are the main ones. I would definitely create a few with Wordpress as this is the most popular platform. You can also check out this link which gives you a big list and explains how to build manual web 2.0's http://doseoyourself.com/step-4-build-powerful-manual-web-2-0s/

I know it can be a pain in the arse sometimes as they are all different and something usually does go wrong!!

Thank you guys!

and you seem to be overthinking everything

I was really trying to take it easy but it's teething pains I guess... :D

No Follow links are fine as well by the way. They still pass juice just not PR. Nothing looks more unnatural than a 100% DF link profile.

Here's my list I use.

Wordpress
Tumblr
Blogger
Typepad
LiveJournal
Jimdo
Weebly
Webnode
Squidoo
Wix
Yola
Bravenet
webstarts
blogs.rediff.com
google site
Tripod Lycos
ucoz
zoho
jigsy
blog.com
thoughts.com
mozello
edublogs

There is nothing wrong with No follow links. They have their use as well.

Didn't know that! Will take a break, get those proxies and start over again. Thanks everyone!

Remember that even if a website is no follow it will still bring you in convertible traffic if your article is worth anything.
Sure it will not effect your PR but traffic is traffic. Some no follow mixed with do follow is good in Google's eyes.

One of the biggest mistakes I made when I started in
internet marketing was not learning when to outsource some
work to experts that can do it fast and clean.

Sometimes time is worth more than money. You know when
you have made it when you spend more time with a paper and
pen coming up with more methods and less time typing out articles.

Quite right, you are :)
