If you're only one guy who is working on a project, what do you use when contacting your customers? We or I?

I've been wondering about this. "We" looks more professional, but at the same time, "I" seems to be more customer-friendly, since you sound more friendly and it might be better in relations with customers, but I want to know your opinions guys :)

We, because it sounds more professional and creates the impression that you have a much larger team working on the project rather than a solo.
I, makes your business seem "tiny" and unimportant.

I would personally use "we" as it sounds much more professional

Ok, none of your opinions count because you aren't the person reading the message.

You think We sounds professional, but it can also sound pompous. If you're not a "We," and if they can see through it, it sounds like fraud.

I sounds bad to you because you have no confidence in your work.

I is consultancy, We is a firm. How much you charge and the results you provide will be either above or below expectation depending which you choose.

That being said, there is the obvious answer that negates this entire poll, and it's like Rule 1 in marketing copy.

Guys, open a textbook. Seriously, your (edit)business knowledge are driving away clients from you.

You can completely avoid first-person.

I thought I made a foolish mistake and didn't check the third poll choice, didn't even matter.

ITT: ppl slept through classes, a lot
