We need to talk about HAF board

As a Freelancer,

Has anyone else given up on this board?
Reasons why i wont renew my two-year VIP, is any interaction I've had with a HAF thread has just been a windup (secondly i have no marketplace thing to pawn)

The premise of every interaction here is "i dont trust you", therefore "i want something free". Without actually being able to verify the person or their proof-of-funds.
I'm not saying they don't have every reason not to trust someone who contacts them, like look at the disputes board, its almost like a wall of shame at this point.



Some of the people i ran into while i was a VIP, i haven't managed to screen cap every interaction like this, but so far, with almost 20 people, no one has even paid a dollar.

Can we start some kind of pest control / fumigation or is there talk about a bhw escrow service?


Anyone have any stories?

It's fine I think, I have connected with amazing people using HAF, both ways usually.

I think that due diligence is basic stuff in any form of business. you wouldnt agree?

There always will be someone wanting to take advantage of others.

World, and thus the forum too - is full of scammers.

Freelancers and Hirers both need to carry out due diligence
If you are a freelancer, then you should have some form of portfolio or credentials that prove you are capable of providing the service.
Some people answer EVERY HaF thread which doesn't always inspire confidence in their expertise.
If posters are posting BS threads, then you can always use the dispute section or contact support/Mods.
