I think that we need an Escrow service just for BHW.

It would make BHW safer for any transaction regarding anything that involves money.

Anything that you buy or sell on BHW should go through the Escrow service and the seller doesn't get the money until the service has been delivered, much like Fiverr.

People buying anything on BHW would feel more secure spending money as much as they like because they know that it will be a secure transaction. Making BHW safe for any transaction will make BHW a better place. Imagine how that will clean up BHW from potential scammers. That will give people peace of mind.

This will be for everything that involves exchange of money for services. I think that will stop scammers from scamming people. They don't get the money unless they deliver what they promised. That is mostly how people get scammed. People just send the money for something and you never hear about the scammer again.

After all BHW is only going to become bigger and if we don't do anything we we will have more people getting scammed all the time.

What do you think?

Some of the responsibility needs to be on the buyers shoulders. If you want to only do business through escrow then discuss that with the seller. I would say 99.9999% of the shitlist threads result from doing business outside of the BST area. Scammers are going to scam anyone outside of the BST section as long as there are people willing to believe their bullshit.

Honestly, it is hard to feel bad for someone that loses their money because of their own lack of common sense.

The BHW mods already go above and beyond attempting to resolve every issue brought to their attention by a person that gets scammed - which is way more than I would do - the BST section is there for a reason. Those that get fooled outside of it do so with already being warned of the potential dangers.

People need to man up and take responsibility for their actions. Nobody is placing a gun to anyone's head and forcing them to buy.

BHW doesn't need escrow. BHW needs its members to use common sense.

The thing about shitlist threads is not so much about scammers, it is about people that do not have that entreprenurial thing in them. They are either kids or people with no real business expirience. That's why they promisse to deliver something just to see the green,,,once they receive more orders than they can handle....well, the rest is history.

Exactly. It is just hard for me to feel sorry for someone that buys outside the BST section. It is like telling them to not touch that hot pan on the stove....but what do they do? They touch the pan and then complain about getting burnt.

That about sums it up, but let's be positive this place is big enough to handle a few hiccups...

Why? Because there are some top business members on here, and let's not forget the top job DD and all the admins and mods contribute to BHW on a 365/24/7 basis...

The forum reputation itself is like an escrow service. I pity the soul who scams another member here, I've seen how this community does business and that's 99% of the reason I enjoy being a member here - trusting the biz I do here and knowing we're dealing with pros and not adolescent scammers.
