We dont trust Paypal..Right??? Please advice me!

Hey guys,
My location is India! I expect a payment of $3k from a client in UK!
So, I need your advice that how shall I receive the money? I will get this much money from the same person every week!
Can I trust Paypal or should I use some other means? What if not paypal?
Please advice!:confused:

Thats right! But another added complication is that I have to send some funds to my partner in some other country.. and I will have to do it every week!
And Western Union Does not allow Indians to send the money out of India to some other country!
 
$3k is too big to deal with paypal. you might end up getting screwed for it. why not take half from paypal or just enough to send to your buddy and the rest go to western union, at least if paypal fuck your payment you still got some left.
 
Paypal is fine as long as you don't use it for anything stupid or shady.

Preferable to use an aged account that has been tied to a bank account and a credit/debit card. If you don't then you'll run into problems down the road where Paypal will freeze the account until you provide additional information to prove you're who you say you are. If you do, you still may run into those problems but if you are legit, you shouldn't have any issues.

I'm going to assume from the many, many India scams that it will be harder for you to open a Paypal account yourself (more paperwork, more credentials, more hoops to jump through). Id suggest maybe pay 10% to someone to take the payment and then deliver it to you and your partner each week.

I have one more idea in my mind..! What if I take some money to my paypal (so that I can send it to my partner) and the rest to my bank account directly via online transfer)!
What do you think?
 
wouldn't it be much better it you take it from western? just my thought, banks literally to some clearing before you can really touch the money probably around 3-4 days for big transaction while western will be an instant. and throw what is enough for your partner

imho of course.
would be to ask the uk guy to send the money to your partner in other country,
and give the guy a "discount or a fee" for sending it, say 3% on amount.

here is what i mean...

uk guy owes you $3k
uk guy give your partner $1k
fee on $1,000 at 3% is $30, so
uk guy charges you $30 for evey $1k sent,
then send you the balance of $2k minus $30 = $1,970

everybody happy?
what do you think?
 
use alertpay or moneybookers. best option in my opinion would be WU
 
I'm having no issues with Paypal, yet I don't make deals via Paypal which are above 3,000. I either do bank transfer or WU.
 
PayPal is very unsafe for nonebay transactions, even more so for non-physical transaction.

If the transaction isnt conducted on eBay, all paypal does it s make sure SOMETHING(can be anything) is shipped.

Escrow or Wire Transfer is your best option
