We CAN'T CHOOSE YT Username!!!!??

I was trying to make a new YT account today and it simply didn't let me choose a username!!!?? Am I missing something? Everytime it was Create Channel - Google Plus - YT Channel (with my name).

What's going on??

I am not sure here but could it be that your YT channel is the same as your Google plus account name?
For your convenience, and to provide better service, things are connected... Great huh?
 
They updated to were if you create a name that isnt already a username on youtube then your last name and first name become your youtube name
 
I used to know an old link where you could sign up without goggle but never bookmarked it and it's lost now. Aanyone maybe have it and willing to share?
 
to choose youtube user name click on youtube setting on google name, then you can see "Manage Account" tab ! ok !
click on Manage Account and it shows you Channel Settings ( channel settings is on the same line with Manage Account )
In channel settings you can see "Create Username"
at here you can choose username that you like

i have EPIC channels with one digits, 2, and names from 2005!
i never search for my name! The Unknow is much better then youR ID!
